This means that it is not possible to synchronize your Outlook on the web Outlook.com, iCloud, Gmail calendar or contacts with Outlook 2016 for Mac.' Wow, this is a show-stopper for me! On Outlook for Windows, I can set up Outlook.com as an ActiveSync client and get full sync support for email, calendar and contacts. Outlook 2016 on Mac doesn't allow ActiveSync even to consumer cloud services that support it, nor does it support CalDAV/CardDAV.
So there is no way to sync calendar and contacts from the various popular cloud services. (And unless I'm missing it, there's no way to import contacts as a CSV file or similar.) I sure hope Microsoft fixes this soon.
Especially since Outlook for Windows CAN do this in many cases.
